Yuna (19) is evaluated as a player with the qualities of a ‘superstar’ who appeared on the KLPGA with great effort.

Yoon Eana, who not only captivates galleries at once, but also has extraordinary long hitting power, exploded her potential by winning the ‘Ever Collagen Queen’s Crown 2022’ last month.

However, the joy was short-lived, and Yuna was immediately embroiled in the controversy over the ‘play of the ogu (誤球)’. Because of this, she said she will be suspending competition indefinitely for the time being.

It is not an exaggeration to say that Yuna’s actions for the month of July fell from heaven to hell.

In golf, ogu literally means playing with a ball other than your own. It is by no means easy to find a ball that has flew at least a few hundred meters from the tee shot. Therefore, even among professional players, it is often the case that the fall-out point is misunderstood. For this reason, players prepare devices such as marking their balls.

The reason Yoon Ina’s play of the wrong ball is inevitably controversial is due to the specificity of golf.

It is because of the unique rule of golf that the game is played without a referee. Players even record their own at-bats for each hole. This is why it is called a gentleman’s sport because it is left up to the players’ conscience.

While Yuna was virtually on hiatus, the ball was now transferred to the KGA. A sports fair committee hosted by the KGA subcommittee is expected to be held, where the level of disciplinary action against Yuna Yoon’s mischievous play is expected to be discussed. If the KGA disciplinary action is announced, the KLPGA (Korea Women’s Professional Golf Association), which hosts the tournament, may also issue additional disciplinary measures.

First of all, the KGA is being cautious about disciplinary review. He firmly drew a line saying that there was no discussion about the severe punishment of the three-year suspension of qualifications raised by some.

Nevertheless, severe punishment is expected to be inevitable. This is because the ogu play itself cannot be dismissed as a mistake and has seriously damaged ‘manners’, one of the virtues of golf.

If a warning or light disciplinary action is taken, the headwinds are also expected to be strong. This is because it is self-evident that the 2nd and 3rd Yoona will emerge, who secretly change the ball while the logic of fairness is broken. The rosy future of a large rookie who appeared with great effort turned gray in an instant.
