In one scene indeed unusualwhich fortunately left nothing more than a video on networks as a balance, two young people “stole a patrol car” from the municipal police in Vicente Lópezthey traveled about 30 blocks until they left it parked near the San Isidro Racecourse.

The officers had responded to a call for a complaint in a bar in Maipú at 3800, they got out when they arrived and the patrol car was left open. Like every Saturday night, there were a lot of people out there, and two young people, upon seeing the open patrol car, got in and took it north along that same Maipú avenue. While they joked about their “feat” and one of them even filmed the scene, which he later uploaded to social networks.

“It was already friend, we’ll get off here right now,” the passenger says to the driver, but in one of the movements of his cell phone, even while he was balancing because in addition to the phone he was holding the two glasses of beer, he managed to clearly capture the driver’s face. This detail, added to the fact that the patrol cars have their own cameras, allowed them to be quickly identified and charged with “Theft.”

“On top of the two beers, friend, it can’t be bowl…” adds the one filming. “We can go a couple more blocks,” he is heard saying, and the passenger even complains that “you can’t roll down the window.”

“What’s happening? Didn’t you see that I’m driving? That’s it…” celebrates the driver, who at a certain point believes it’s time to end the delirious journey and asks “Shall we leave it here?” The other answers “that’s it, leave it here friend”, so they get off and walk away laughing.

Once the video went viral, the Police explained that they did not pursue them because “In the patrols we have an internal video surveillance system that records video and audio at all times, in addition to the GPS and the avenue cameras.”

“Consequently, there was no need to chase them because we knew their route”They detailed, adding that “as these are armored vehicles and if the driver takes off at high speed, he can lose control of the vehicle and cause greater misfortune.”

The culmination of the scene was that they left the car right in front of a sign that said “no parking.”
