Ukraine will get more Starlink systems, the Ukrainian president tweeted after talking to the tech billionaire. Selenskyj and Musk have also identified a topic for after the war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has thanked tech billionaire Elon Musk for his support of Ukraine.

“Next week we will get more Starlink systems for destroyed cities,” wrote Zelenskyj on Twitter. He spoke to Musk and thanked him for his support of Ukraine in words and deeds.

The two also discussed possible space projects – but he, Zelenskyj, wanted to talk about that after the war.

Why Starlink is helping Ukraine against Russia

After activating the Starlink satellite Internet service for Ukraine, which was attacked by Russia, Musk also sent the first delivery of the necessary receiving systems at the beginning of March.

The Starlink system, which provides fast Internet connections directly via its own satellites, could help Ukrainians if conventional telecommunications networks should fail. The system is being built by Musk’s space company SpaceX. Musk is also the head of the electric car manufacturer Tesla.
