The National Autonomous Union of Higher Education and Scientific Research (SNAESURS) announced, this Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the suspension of its general and unlimited strike slogan initially planned from this Wednesday, October 15, 2024. This point, considered central by the union, was accepted by the authorities, according to the latest statements from Lansana Yansané, general secretary of SNAESURS.
The trade unionist declared having had direct exchanges with the secretary general of the Ministry of Civil Service, who assured that the long-awaited decree would be signed this Wednesday. “He asked us to give him until tomorrow morning to provide us with the employment order for our approved colleagues. We grant him this deadline and therefore suspend the strike call,” he said.
