Censoring of Higuita movie has been completed. The producers approached the Censor Board without the approval of the Film Chamber. After completing all the procedures, the film got the censor certificate.
N.S. The film got into controversy because of the name associated with Madhavan’s famous work Higuita. N.S. The Film Chamber also took a positive stand for Madhavan. But NS says that Higuita is a person and his attitude is the basis of this film. The crew has stated that the film has nothing to do with Madhavan’s work.
NS Madhavan came out with an emotional tweet after the release of the first look poster of Suraj Venjaramood starrer Higuita. The tweet was expressing his objection to the name of his short story being used as the title of the film without asking him a single word.

NS Madhavan had concerns including that if they see the poster of the movie and the name Higuita, the audience might misunderstand that the film is a visual representation of the short story called Higuita.
