This Sunday, firefighters from the Westhoek area had to intervene to free a dog that was locked in a car in the Plopsland parking lot. It was up to 30 degrees on Sunday and the fire men did not hesitate, just minutes after being called by worried park visitors.
A first call was made in the Plopsa water park to alert the owner of the vehicle, without success. Firefighters opened the car. Luckily the trunk was open.
Inside was a Saint Bernard which, according to Het Laatste Nieuws, was very hot.
Eventually, the dog’s owner, a Frenchwoman, showed up. She explained that she was at the pool and that she came to see her dog every hour. But this story will not stop there. The police have indeed drawn up a report.
