History becoming compulsory graduation is just a tentative plan

Regarding the plan to organize the high school graduation exam from 2025, in which history is a compulsory subject, the Ministry of Education and Training affirmed: This is only the tentative plan of the Ministry, are being studied and consulted by experts.

Currently, the plan has not been agreed and approved.

According to the roadmap, 2025 is the first year students study the 2018 General Education Program for their graduation exam. The Ministry of Education and Training and experts are studying the exam organization plan.

According to current regulations, in order to be considered for recognition of high school graduation, candidates studying in upper secondary education program must take 3 compulsory exams namely math, literature, foreign languages ​​and 1 elective exam. belonging to the following combinations: natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) or social sciences (history, geography, civics).

Regarding the number of subjects for the high school graduation exam from 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training is studying and developing it and submitting it to the Government for comments. According to the 2018 General Education Program, students learn 8 compulsory education subjects and activities including: Literature, math, foreign language 1, history, physical education, defense and security education, and activities. local experience, career guidance and educational content.
