On the followingnoon of January 11, 2024, a hitman attack was reported in the parking lot of the Makro shopping center, located south of Cali, where it is presumed that a man was the victim.
The events occurred around 6:00 pm, according to the authorities, and shocked the attendees at the scene, due to the roar of the shots and the chaos generated by seeing the injured person.
“Subject on foot shoots the victim and flees on a motorcycle. He is transferred to the Valle del Lili Clinic where he dies,” the Cali Metropolitan Police told El País.

According to the Police, the victim was identified as Víctor Emilio Torres, 44 years old, and was born in Buenaventura.
