Hochfilzen is applying for the 2028 World Cup

Hochfilzen will apply to host the 2028 Biathlon World Cup. The ÖSV announced this on Sunday.

Experience has shown that the competition for the title fights, which take place every year except for the Olympic winter, is not very big, so the Tyrolean town can hope to win the bid. The last World Cup in Hochfilzen took place in 2017, and it was also the host in 1978 and 2005.

The next World Cup venues are Oberhof (2023), Nove Mesto (2024), Lenzerheide (2025) and, as recently announced, Otepää in Estonia (2027).
