Hockey: Boston University wins the Beanpot against Northeastern

The Boston University Terriers won 1-0 over the NorthEastern Huskies to get their hands on the 69e Beanpot, emblem of college hockey supremacy in the Boston area.

The choice of 3e round of the St. Louis Blues Dylan Peterson scored the lone goal of the game with less than three minutes left in the 3e period at TD Garden in Boston.

Boston University, which counts on the hope of Canadian Luke Tuch in its training, has now won its last seven games.

Northeastern has several names known to Quebec hockey fans in its ranks. First up are Habs prospects Jordan Harris and Jayden Struble, as well as the sons of Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes, Jack and Riley. Martin St. Louis’ son, Ryan, is also a member of the roster. Former Junior Team Canada goaltender Devon Levi is also a member of the Huskies.

The Beanpot is contested between Boston College, Boston University, Harvard and Northeastern.

The first edition took place on December 26, 1952.
