Hockey: Canadian record still perfect

Two goals against their camp on the first two Canadian achievements finally granted to Adam Lowry and Pierre-Luc Dubois, a failure of the goalkeeper on the success No 4 signed Cole Sillinger… The Slovaks have long believed to have their chance against the selection at the maple leaf, but individual mistakes and a good dose of bad luck have them completely weighed down.

The 3rd Canadian goal, on the other hand, had nothing to do with anyone except the class of Pierre-Luc Dubois. The Winnipeg Jets forward was on the ground with his back to goal when he managed to find a mousehole through goaltender Adam Huska for a brace. He also allowed his team to take the lead in Group A alone, that of Switzerland, with one more game compared to the troop of Patrick Fischer. The two teams will face each other on Saturday.

In the other game of the afternoon, Latvia finally opened their points counter, against Norway (3-2). The Baltics were already leading 3-1 after 33 minutes, thanks to goals from Rodrigo Abols, Nikolajs Jelisejevs and Roberts Bukarts. The match penalty imposed on the Norwegian Ludvig Hoff before the half-match helped the Latvian cause.
