Home Training Participants Ready to Work (MI/HO)

RUMAH Ready to Work again presents an inspiring story that comes from Taufan Purnama, a 30 year old mechanic who has spent 12 years of his career in Kuwait.

Taufan returned to Indonesia when the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world in 2020 even though the economic situation and finding a new job was very difficult. With support from the Home Ready to Work Pre-Employment Card Program, he now works at a leading workshop in Jakarta while starting a business in his spare time.

“I see that the Pre-Employment Card Program is suitable for my situation, which is still looking for work and is confused about where to start a business. “Finally, I tried to register, initially I failed 4-5 times if I’m not mistaken, until finally I succeeded and was accepted into batch 21 in 2021,” explained Taufan.

Taufan also revealed, “When I was accepted, I tried to look for training that discussed how to start a business first, because finding work was still difficult. I met Rumah Ready to Work. I tried to take several trainings on how to start a business, presentation and communication techniques for existing businesses practical tool, I think I can try it straight away at home.”

Training on Mastering Business Presentation Techniques to Become a Salesperson was delivered by Muhammad Mirza, an educator who believes that education is the key to changing lives and encouraging social progress.

Mirza is part of more than 400 teachers who actively provide skills and entrepreneurship training at Rumah Ready to Work. Mirza explained that he learned and grew with different communication styles with the participants, because each coaching session was an opportunity to exchange valuable ideas and experiences.

“I have witnessed how participants grow from initially feeling doubtful and unsure into individuals who are confident and ready to face the world of work. “This proves that the Pre-Employment Card Program not only provides training, but also provides much-needed encouragement for participants to find success in their careers,” he said.

After 2 years of participating in the Pre-Employment Card Program, Taufan explained that he had the opportunity to broaden his insight and skills, especially in starting and managing a business at Home Ready to Work.

Through the Dare to Business Program, Taufan is now developing his business independently through an AMDK business project called Aerputh.

Home Ready to Work CEO Roestiandi Tsamanov stated his company’s commitment to continuing to play an active role in improving the quality of Human Resources in Indonesia together with the Pre-Employment team.
