The snow in Gwangju does not know how to stop and continues to fall.

With snow filling up to shin level, the road is literally a minefield.

As you can see, the end lane of the road has become a parking lot.

It seems that the car could not be moved anymore and was urgently parked here.

In addition, there are places where the wheels of the vehicle cannot get out of the snow, causing congestion all over the city.

The only way is to not bring your own vehicle.

In Gwangju and Jeollabuk-do, where the heavy snow warning was announced, snow is still falling from 1 to 3 centimeters per hour.

The amount of snow accumulated so far is 58.6 cm in Sunchang, Jeonbuk, followed by 28 in Gwangju, 35.7 in Jeongeup in Jeonbuk, and 24.7 in Damyang in South Jeolla.

Local governments raise the emergency response level and try to remove snow, but it is not enough because the speed of snowfall is fast.

In Gwangju, a 3.6-kilometer section of the Buk-gu circulation road was controlled, and 42 city bus routes were also detoured or shortened.

At 6:30 am, in Haenam, Jeollanam-do, there was an accident in which a vehicle was overturned, and more than 50 traffic and fall accidents have been reported in this area so far.

In addition, about 980 schools in Gwangju, Jeonnam and North Jeolla Province delayed school opening hours or decided to conduct remote classes.

This snow will continue until tomorrow, Christmas Eve.

The Meteorological Administration predicted that 30 centimeters would accumulate in many areas in Gwangju and Jeonnam, and 20 centimeters in Jeonbuk.
