Teófilo Benítez, defender of 12 victims, said in an interview that although the link to the process has already been found, the precautionary measures that will be imposed on them still need to be discussed, since the crimes that are attributed to the former officials do not merit preventive detention and they will seek greater guarantees to avoid an evasion of justice.
“We will have to debate them, the precautionary measures are for the protection of citizens that there is a just state of law towards society and towards the victims themselves so that they are dignified,” he assured.
Benítez Granados said he was dissatisfied with the fact that only the periodic signature before the precautionary measures unit is imposed on the defendants and that their passport be withheld, for which he announced that they will also request that a location bracelet be imposed.
