Horizon Burning Shores DLC receives a barrage of negative reviews for lesbian kiss

Despite the good evaluation by the specialized critics, the DLC Horizon Burning Shores, released last week as additional content for Horizon Forbidden West, is receiving a rain of negative reviews from the public on the Metacritic aggregator that has greatly lowered the average score of the game. The main reason, to be noted by the most recent manifestations of users, is linked to a lesbian kissing scene, between the characters Aloy and Seyka.

If the game scores 82 among critics, the “review bombing” of users is at an average of 2.7 points, out of a total of 10, with 530 negative posts against 170 positive ones.

“Another game ruined by the gay agenda, what for? People just want to be entertained, not indoctrinated. Sony should be careful because many brands have been hurt by prioritizing the agenda forced by business. I will never buy a Horizon game again”, he says a user.

Historically, the world of games finds it difficult to bring up themes such as inclusion, especially in relation to the LGBTQIA+ community —and in this case there seems to be a special discomfort in relation to characters who assume their sexuality in a specific scene.

It is possible to notice the incredulity of the players who, in their reviews, give a score of zero citing that “the left wants to destroy the world”, “another ruined character” and the like, with rare messages about the game itself, its qualities or technical defects .

Metacritic says it has been working for some time on better moderation of this type of content, including preventing user posts shortly after launch so that, in fact, there are only comments from those who have possibly already tried or completed a certain game.
