The capital Kiev, the Black Sea metropolis of Odessa in the south, Kharkiv in the northeast, Lviv in the far west: these are just a few of the Ukrainian cities where people lost their lives due to Russian air strikes on Friday. According to official information from Kiev, the attacks resulted in at least 26 deaths and more than 130 were injured. The Ukrainian military spoke of the largest wave of air strikes since the Russian invasion began in February 2022.
