Hospital Evangélico de Caluquembe increases the number of daily surgeries – news

The Hospital Evangélico de Caluquembe, in the province of Huíla, will increase the number of surgeries performed daily, with the entry into operation of the new operating room, inaugurated yesterday by the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutukuta

The entry into operation of the new operating room at the aforementioned hospital, fully equipped with cutting-edge equipment, will allow 15 surgeries to be carried out, both small and large, compared to the eight that were previously carried out. Sílvia Lutukuta highlighted the importance of the partnership that exists between the church and the Angolan Government in the social sector, particularly in the areas of education and health.

On the other hand, the government official urged staff posted to this health unit to invest in continuous training, so that they can provide a high-quality service to users of the aforementioned health unit. “This Hospital will reinforce the National Health Service in the province and in our country, so I appeal to its health professionals to provide service with dignity and humanism, in the certainty that in this unit they will be able to provide a quality service to our populations,” he said.

For his part, the president of the Evangelical Synodal Church of Angola (IESA), Diniz Marcolino Eurico, thanked the President of the Republic for his intervention in its rehabilitation and expansion. The pastor stressed that there is still a lot to be done so that the Evangelical Hospital can provide services to a greater number of people and asked for the Executive’s support to make this happen.

“I’m going to make a request to the Minister here, so that she can send the same to the President of the Republic: we want him to start carrying out the works on the other phase of the project so that in this Hospital there can be pediatric services, a maternity ward, an emergency bank and others. ”.
