How a Porsche 911 GT3 is assembled through a time lapse

Although you have surely seen images of the interior of a modern factory, we will never tire of admiring what is done inside one of the most spectacular sports car houses. In the following visual piece we are shown how to build a Porsche 911 GT3 through a time lapse.

Apparently the 911 shown in the video is a GT3 built for driver Leh Keen. The car was ordered in the Gold Bronze Metallic hue, available as part of Porsche’s Paint to Sample Plus program. This program allows the customer to choose virtually any color they want, which is then put through months of feasibility testing before it can be applied.

If we talk about a 911 GT3, it costs 25,000 dollars. In fact, Keen’s car was the first 911 painted in this color. Let’s watch the video:

how to appreciateturns out to be the most interesting to see how much is still done by hand, especially after the car is painted. Much of the build process is automated, with those robotic arms you’ve probably seen and as you would expect from a car made in 2022. However, it’s good to see that there is still a human touch involved in the process.

By the way, once the assembly, we see Keen skidding around the Atlanta Motorsports Park circuit. And yes, it’s quite envious to see it.[[Digg]
