How to Hide Apps from iPhone Home Screen
There are two ways to remove apps from the home screen without uninstalling them, you can hide the apps one by one, or hide an entire page of apps at once.
Any app you hide will be sent to the App Library, which is an organized list of every app on your iPhone that you can find by scrolling to the last page of your Home screen, and when you really want to use the app, open it from there.
How to hide an app on an iPhone
1. Find the app you want to hide and tap and hold on it.
2. When the options menu appears, tap Remove Application
3. Select the option to remove from the home screen.
The icon will disappear from your Home screen, but you’ll still see it in the App Library, and if you want to show it later, find it in the App Library and tap it with your finger, then select Add to Home Screen.
How to hide an entire page of applications
1. Press and hold your finger on the dots at the bottom of your home screen, these dots that display the page you’re on.
2. Keep holding it until your iPhone zooms out to view each page at once, and if all the apps start to vibrate but not minimized, just lift your finger and tap the dots again.
3. Find the Apps page you want to hide and tap the check mark below it until the selection disappears.
4. Click Done in the upper-right corner.
You won’t see the pages you unchecked when you swipe again, but just like hiding a single app, all the apps you’ve hidden will continue to appear in the app library, just open this menu again and check the page until it appears again.
How to hide apps so they don’t appear in search
In addition to the app library, you can find hidden apps by dragging your finger down on the home screen, and then searching for them. While this is useful for finding hidden apps, it can be another privacy concern, so you can remove apps from appearing in search results as well.
1. Open the Settings app and scroll down to tap on Siri & Search.
2. In the menu that opens, scroll down and select the app you want to hide from search.
3. Press the Show app in search key until it turns gray and closes.
This app will no longer appear in search results.
