How Russian developers are replacing Western SCM systems

Russian developer of software for supply chain planning GoodsForecast received 206 million rubles. investments from the NTI venture fund managed by Kama Flow investment company. The representative of the fund did not disclose the size of the acquired share, saying that it usually ranges from 10 to 30%.

Investor interest spurred the trend towards import substitution of foreign software – after the departure from Russia of global vendors of supply chain management systems (Supply Chain Management, SCM), such as SAP, SAS Institute, Oracle, etc. Kama Flow expects the company to increase its revenue by more than 5 times in three years (up to 1 billion rubles in 2024). GoodsForecast was created in 2013 by Alexander Tcherepnin, Andrey Lisitsa, Sergey Kotik, and Daniil Kanevsky, mathematicians from the Computing Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Moscow State University. The company has completed about 100 projects for such clients as Cherkizovo, TechnoNIKOL, Perekrestok, OK,Gazprom Neft” and etc.

GoodsForecast operates in the predictive analytics segment for supply chain planning in manufacturing and retail. Its product line automates the planning of purchases and production load, assortment management and pricing, analyzes lost sales due to the lack of goods in warehouses and store shelves, predicts the effect of marketing campaigns.
