Al-Marsad newspaper: Social media activists circulated a video clip showing the moment the contestant, Hams Fikry, won the title of Saudi Idol, “Saudi Beloved”, in the last episode of the first season of the program, broadcast on mbc channel, yesterday evening, Wednesday.
The clip documented Hams’ reaction, following announcing her crowning the title, which at first glance shocked her as if she had not believed the result.
During the clip, the presenter of the program approached Hams and embraced her, but the state of astonishment that afflicted Hams made her not interact with her.
The clip showed Hams’s friends ascending to the stage, taking turns congratulating her, and raising the Saudi flag.
