Step 1: Open the Messages app on your phone.
Step 2: Select a conversation that contains spam text.
Step 3: Select the icon with the number at the top of the conversation.
Step 4: Select the Info button from the card that appears.
Step 5: Select Block this caller at the bottom of the next screen.
Step 6: From the pop-up window that appears, select Block contact to confirm.
This will block both text messages and phone calls from the selected number, including FaceTime audio and video calls.
Incoming cellular calls will be sent to voicemail, FaceTime calls will be ignored, and text messages will be silently ignored. Note that text messages from a blocked number cannot be recovered even if you unblock the number later.
