Opening even more the range of benefits to paying users of the X Blue (formerly called Twitter Blue), Elon Musk’s network began to allow its users to download published videos.
X makes it clear that if your account is activated as a user under 18, this setting will be disabled by default. Videos published before July 25, 2023 are also not eligible and, if you want, you can disable the option to download your videos on the platform.

How to download a video natively in X
To download a video, open X on your iPhone/iPad and tap on the media to open it in full screen. Then tap the button represented by three dots (in the upper right corner) and select “Download video”.
How to disable video downloads in X
As mentioned above, you can disable the ability for verified users to download a video posted on your profile.
To do this, upload the video normally in a new tweet post by tapping on it, then open the gear at the bottom right and then check the option to allow or disallow downloads.
X makes it very clear that this setting cannot be changed following the video has been posted. If you change your mind then you will need to delete the post.
