How to simplify your life with the Revenue Agency thanks to the Io App: the guide

The Revenue Agency has finally landed on the Io App, even if – upon closer inspection – it is still a partial arrival, albeit useful.
“Finally” because it was the only large body that did not offer citizens the possibility of interacting on this state app that centralizes public administration services. Partial landing because for now there are only some communications and notices from the Agency on the IO app; other functions will arrive, as well as access to widely used services, such as the tax drawer, which therefore still remain available only from the Agency’s online tools.

Let’s see what the advantages are now of having the Agency on the app and how to obtain them.

The services available

There are now two categories of services. “Communications for you” and “your deadlines”. The first, as the Agency explains, “allows you to receive personalized communications from the Revenue Agency. Through IO you will be able to receive a message informing you of the availability of a refund, reminding you to complete an activity such as sending your pre-compiled tax return or alerting you that a third party (for example your trusted person) is been authorized to operate in your interest on online services”. “Your Deadlines” on the other hand “allows you to receive reminders close to your deadlines, for example the installment of a deferred payment plan, or a registered rental contract”.

But what services are really available in these categories?

The list is long, according to what the Agency communicates to Sole24Ore. We find these communications on the app: “Your refund is on the way”, “A trusted person has access to your reserved area (activation of authorization for a trusted person, such as an accountant)”. “The authorization for the person of trust you authorized has been revoked.” “Failure to deliver separate taxation communication (relating to the payment of tax on income subject to separate taxation)”. “Failure to deliver notification of irregularities (relating to the automated control of the declaration)”. “Remember to pay the registration tax (rentals)”. “The lease is about to expire.” “Remember to pay the instalment”, which can be of three types: “installment for the tax on income subject to separate taxation”), “installment of the amount due following an automated check” and “installment of the amount due in following formal control”. Finally: “You have received the settlement of a judicial document”. As you can see, they are convenient notifications of what happens on our position or deadlines. Having them on the Italian PA’s single app, which sends message-notifications to your mobile phone, is convenient and useful for keeping an eye on everything and avoiding problems, delays and forgetfulness.

How to use these services on App IO

To have all this, you need to download the IO app from your smartphone’s digital store. After downloading the app, you need to register via Spid and Cie (Electronic Identity Card). In short, we will need to have at least one of these two tools to access the PA’s online services with digital identity. Then access will be quick and easy to the Io app, with the services and messages contained therein. In fact, for a few months the app has activated simplified access. We will only be able to enter the app for one year with a fingerprint or unlock code. In short, only after a year will there be the classic process of access via Spid or Cie, which in the past was mandatory for every access. In the case of the Agency, we will find the messages that interest us on the main screen. Under the “services” channel we also find the two categories of Agency services but here we can only activate or disable notifications. With services from other entities we can also carry out various operations and activities, not just read communications.
