Li Peng, President of Huawei Carrier BG, said that 5.5G is still 5G in essence, but its network capacity is 10 times larger than 5G, which will stimulate 100 times the market opportunity, and 5.5G can also support more bands. He also pointed out that the deployment scale of global 5G commercial use in three years is equivalent to the level of 4G commercial use in five years, and the progress of 5G deployment far exceeds that of 4G in the same period.
Huawei expects that in the 5.5G era, immersive interactive experience services will explode, and 3D applications will also become mainstream, including online VR stores, 24K VR games, and glasses-free 3D. Immersive and interactive experience will become a rigid demand, and the number of users is expected to increase by 100 times to 1 billion.
In addition, 5.5G can also be applied to smart cities, including functions such as road traffic services and perception, making urban infrastructure more efficient and intelligent.
