Huawei launches the Global Intelligent Education Showcase to accelerate digitalization in education

Shanghai (ots/PRNewswire) – During Huawei Connect 2023, Huawei launched the Global Intelligent Education Showcase in the session titled “Smart Teaching and Learning Accelerate Intelligence in Education” and unveiled its reference architecture for the digital education ecosphere, which aims to build a fully connected, sensory and intelligent education ecosystem and accelerate intelligent upgrading in education.

Xia Zun, President of Global Public Sector at Huawei Enterprise BG, said in his opening speech that in today’s digital society, education tends to focus on learners. He added that intelligence has brought the education sector into a new era and smart technologies have promoted more forms of education, raising the bar for change. Xia also noted that Huawei, together with its partners, will use next-generation technologies such as AI, big data and VR to help the education sector operate digitally and intelligently and share achievements in the sector.

Huang Yu, education solution expert of Huawei Enterprise BG, introduced the digital education ecosphere solution reference architecture in the session. Huang said Huawei has leveraged its cloud, network, edge and device advantages to build such an ecosphere through “one screen, one network, one cloud, one platform and one access.” By integrating educational resources in various scenarios, Huawei has transformed from intelligent networking to multi-level, comprehensive collaboration through intelligent platforms and apps. This strengthens the sector by bridging the digital divide and providing quality education to all.

The Education Bureau of Dongguan has cooperated with Huawei to carry out the construction of smart educational institutions, and created a flagship project implemented with Huawei’s smart campus solution and regional education cloud platform, serving as an example for other cities. This flagship project integrates ICTs (information and communications technologies) to demonstrate Dongguan’s achievements in smart education, including “one center and two platforms”, new education infrastructure, network security and a smart campus. These achievements cover a variety of scenarios such as data and service management, online learning and digital teaching, and are a milestone in Dongguan’s educational development. Driven by technology and data, Dongguan has created a big data center for basic education and two online platforms that meet high standards. The established data center and platforms have promoted the high-quality development of regional smart education by facilitating the intensive construction of a city-wide digital campus, enabling precise decision-making, differentiated management, personalized services and digital teaching, and bringing about innovative teaching approaches and models.

To date, Huawei has served over 2,800 educational departments and institutions in more than 120 countries and regions, helping them realize intelligence in education and cultivate practical future-oriented talents.
