After an arduous and complex investigation of several months, also enriched by data from Sky ECC, the “Organized Crime and Property Crime” division of the PJF of Liège intervened, in several phases, against a criminal organization, communicates the Liège public prosecutor’s office in a press release.
“This criminal structure had set up a cocaine supply chain via Bierset airport. In direct contact with traffickers in South America (Colombia, Panama, Mexico, etc.), the suspects regularly recovered loads of tens or even hundreds of kilos of drugs in containers and pallets of products unloaded in Bierset during the night, Cargo planes coming directly from South America via Mexico and the United States”, specifies Catherine Collignon, First Deputy Public Prosecutor for the King of Liège.
>> A first intervention had already taken place at the end of December: 119,000 euros and 80 kg of cocaine had been seized.
>> In all, 12 arrest warrants have already been issued in this file.
