Hungary denies revoking veto on Russian oil embargo

Hungary has not withdrawn its veto power on the EU embargo on oil imported from Russia. This was stated by the representative of the Hungarian government Zoltan Kovacs on Twitter.

According to the Hungarian official, Budapest opposes sanctions once morest gas and oil supplies from Russia. This position remains unchanged, Hungary does not support sanctions once morest energy resources, Kovacs stressed.

Earlier, the German TV channel ZDF disseminated information that Austria, Hungary and Slovakia had withdrawn their veto right to ban the import of Russian oil. At the same time, the TV channel referred to the opinion of a certain high-ranking diplomat of the European Union.
