Huy: Écolo requests a public consultation on the future of the Rallye du Condroz

During this first municipal council after the Rallye du Condroz, Samuel Cogolati wanted to express the deep solidarity of the Écolo group with the families of Margaux and Romain, the young couple who died in the dramatic accident of the Rallye du Condroz on Sunday 6 November. “It seemed important to us to come back to the subject because today we are bombarded with questions from the population and, sometimes also, with very hostile or even aggressive reactions, we are not going to hide it, begins the municipal councilor. I would have liked to discuss three points with you. First of all, what measures have been taken by the City regarding security? Then, how do you envisage the methodology of the debate? What will happen in the coming weeks since the future of the Rallye du Condroz is indeed in question? Finally, I would have liked broader consultation on routes and safety measures via at least two possibilities. On the one hand, via a consultation of the citizens in order to guarantee a public debate and, on the other hand, via the establishment of a Rally commission at the municipal council of Huy.
