Hydrocarbons: More than 500 illicit stations in Ouaga

Following an operation to control the distribution infrastructures of petroleum products and derivatives, several illicit hydrocarbon distribution stations were listed. The study was carried out from March 13 to April 19
2023 in the city of Ouagadougou. According to the press release from the Council of Ministers of August 3, this control revealed that out of 788 functional stations, 235 have an opening decree issued by the
minister in charge of energy. 553 stations operate without prior authorization to open.
