“I need to kiss Josie”… bold statements by an Egyptian artist that raise controversy

In a fiery statement about her personal life, especially her marital life, the artist, Hanan Shawky, sparked widespread controversy on social media.

And the Egyptian actress said, in a televised interview on MBC Egypt, yesterday evening, Sunday: “I have to kiss Josie’s hand, and I tell him to order me before I sleep.”

And she added, “When I do that, I feel like I am kissing my hands,” noting that marital life includes kindness, compassion, tenderness, and good feelings between the spouses.

The bold statement received widespread reactions, among supporters of her behavior with her husband as personal freedom, and opponents who considered it exaggerated.

Sick souls

Shawky also touched on her role in the movie “The Terrorist” with the star Adel Imam, criticizing the comments that were spread at the time about the beauty of her legs in one of the scenes of the movie, saying, “Sick souls.”

She revealed that she had suffered an injury after filming that scene, saying: “After this scene in particular, I was photographed and the plateau was very high, and suddenly it was as if someone pulled me from my hair and I cried out a death cry, and my ligaments were torn, to the extent that Adel Imam said Hanan took the eye of the movie.”

It is noteworthy that the movie “The Terrorist” was shown in the cinema in 1994, and it was written by Lenin Al-Ramli, directed by Nader Jalal, and starring a group of stars.
