“I go to my spiritual father Sergius (Nikolaev) to a temple in Zaozerye, 70 kilometers from Moscow, where I have a spiritual family, after the service we gather at the table in the refectory, we always sing to the guitar, say toasts, read poetry. That is, people spiritually communicate there, ”the actress shared.
Varley devotes his free time not only to hobbies and his pets, but also to his relatives. At the same time, Natalya Vladimirovna did not put an end to her film career either. So, in 2022, the series “Your Aunt Lucy” was released with the participation of Varley and Andrey Urgant, which the artist herself rated very highly. But in all sorts of television shows, the star of the “Prisoner of the Caucasus” can be seen infrequently.
As for the theatrical roles of Varley, nothing has been heard about them lately. As you know, for many years the artist played on the stage of the Stanislavsky Theater. Natalya Vladimirovna said goodbye to him after she started having problems in a cultural institution: either they burned her fashionable blouse while she was performing, or they let gossip go behind her back … The star also had creative reasons to leave their homes.
Varley failed to leave beautifully. She was persuaded to go on tour while the management selects new actresses in the performances in which the artist was involved. During the rehearsal, Natalya Vladimirovna, helping a new participant in the production, fell into the orchestra pit, miraculously not breaking her neck. The leadership of the Stanislavsky Theater immediately signed Varley’s letter of resignation. And no one began to figure out whose fault the accident occurred at all. And Natalya Vladimirovna never received vacation pay.
“Which lawyer? That word didn’t even exist in my vocabulary. I didn’t know my rights. And there was no time to think about his condition. My son had health problems, in the room on the stove I cooked porridge and vegetable soups for him. A week later, the tour ended, I returned to Moscow, sat down, clutched my head: I no longer have a job, no health, no money, ”Now Varley recalls.
Fortunately, luck then did not leave Natalya Vladimirovna, and soon she received an invitation to star in the next movie. So neither then nor now the actress tries not to complain about life. Last summer, Varley celebrated her anniversary, the star turned 75 years old. But even the number in the passport does not spoil the mood of the famous actress.
“I remember my grandmother, who at 50 had a heavy walk, gray hair, she squinted her eyes without glasses. And now… 60-year-olds marry young men. I want to end on an optimistic note: the age of old age has moved away. <…> So I will hold on. And for this, it’s not enough just to sit in your shell, you need to know that someone needs you, you can help someone with a word, deed, and just a smile. Nearby are my friends, beloved sons Vasya and Sasha, grandson Zhenya. And those who are interested in me come to meet with the audience, ”concluded Natalya Varley.
