“I want to get rid of my appendix”: Formula 1 star wants to do it like Carlos Sainz

After his victory on Sunday at the Australian Grand Prix, Sainz jokingly recommended that his colleagues also have their appendix removed in order to drive faster.

Lando Norris has now returned the insult. The McLaren driver posted a photo on Instagram of himself and Sainz showing off his scar and wrote: “I want to get rid of my appendix. Apparently you did it and won a race so….”

The 24-year-old Brit is known for being tight-lipped. He has been on the podium 13 times, but never at the top. The Melbourne third-place finisher will get his next opportunity at the race in Suzuka on April 7th.
