The artist, Mirhan Hussein, was a guest on the program “Kalam Al-Nas”, presented by the media, Yasmine Ezz, in her first media appearance since her decision to retire from social media during the last period.
During her speech, Mirhan touched on the reason behind her recent retirement from social media, her feelings of sadness and lack of appreciation, and the fact that the artistic community has become characterized by “paralysis” and the lack of opportunities despite her being a professional actress and having many acting workshops.
“Mirhan” commented, saying: “There was no specific situation in it, but it was a state of general frustration and accumulations. I felt very pressured and that I was not happy. Without thinking or arranging, I said that, but I was a little frustrated and reached a degree of depression because in the end I am a very ordinary girl.”
And she continued: “I found myself wanting to be far from everything, and I did not mean far from art specifically, and I started saying that I wanted an open vacation from social media and from obligations, calls and responsibilities, and this is what I meant exactly.”
On the misunderstanding of her retiring from art, she said, “I quoted it from the phrase ‘Retire from what hurts you,’ and I did not mean art, and I did not mean that art hurts me. I meant that there is a need that has harmed me recently.
