Beaten twice at home by Rapperswil and Zug during the week, GE Servette raised its head to Porrentruy. But he suffered before validating his victory. For his selflessness, HC Ajoie would have deserved better pay than an eleventh loss in a row. His lack of offensive impact once again penalized him. None of his attackers has managed to find the way to the goal in the last two matches.

The outcome of this Sunday poster, unbalanced on paper, thus remained uncertain for a long time. Genève-Servette could have taken off during an initial period which it clearly, not to say outrageously, dominated. But the Genevans, who camped in the opposing zone most of the time, came up against a Tim Wolf in great shape or even downright in a state of grace as during this astonishing reflex stoppage of the mitten made exactly halfway through the match.

The Zurich goalkeeper of the HCA, like his partners, held what he could. Each time the championship leader decided to step up the pace, the Ajoulot building began to falter seriously. He yielded for the first time at the end of the first third when Marc-Antoine Pouliot, served in the center by Teemu Hartikainen, aimed under the skylight.

Two goals in the empty cage

This one-length delay at the first break then appeared to be flattering for a National League red lantern who later proved to be more enterprising. The visitor advantage was first maintained thanks to the back of the leg of Marco Maurer, who deflected a puck taken by Thibault Frossard (24th), before disappearing from the table when Bastien Pouilly, with the assistance of Gilian Kohler, scored his first personal achievement in the elite (27th).

It then took just over three minutes for Genève-Servette to regain the lead through Benjamin Antonietti (31st). As in Zurich four days earlier (4-2 defeat), the Jurassians showed courage and put all their forces into battle in the hope of making up for a second time. They benefited from several opportunities during the final period. The most frank being to the credit of Jonathan Hazen, well served from the back of the cage by his friend Devos, who missed his sending, alone against Gauthier Descloux (52nd).

If GE Servette did not lead wide at the end of the game, he ended up winning a second time at Porrentruy this fall. Pouliot and Noah Rod salted the addition in the final moments when Wolf had left his cage. Geneva will receive Ambri on Friday while Ajoie will receive Lugano at the same time.
