O IEG (Institute of Management Engineering) surveyed around 100 companies to understand how ChatGPT is being used in CSCs (Shared Service Centers). Of these, 7% already use it, 50% intend to use it, 11% are in a trial period and 32% do not intend to use it.

When asked regarding the purpose of using the ChatGPT, the interviewees answered that they use the tool for: source of information, text generation, assistance in automations, among others.

Lara Pessanha, partner at IEG and responsible for the Institute’s Market Intelligence area, also points out that ChatGPT consolidates various information at considerable speed and presents it in a way that is easy to understand.

“However, it is important that there is a critical analysis of the responses, as they may not always come from reliable and up-to-date sources”, says Pessanha.

Continuing, Lara states that “Despite being a very powerful tool, we noticed that companies are showing themselves to be very cautious with the use [do ChatGPT]mainly due to the issue of information security”.
