Ikea customers currently have to be prepared for a bitter disappointment. Because the furniture giant is doing away with a popular offer.

Ikea customers have to be prepared for a change. Some people are really shocked at the checkout. Consumer frustration is high.

Customers complain on Facebook

Namely, that purchased vouchers are not accepted at the checkout. This has happened more and more often in the recent past. For example, if an Ikea voucher was bought from another retailer. A customer had the same experience. “I bought a voucher from Ikea at dm. Unfortunately, the voucher does not work or the card is displayed as invalid. Of course, the money has already been deducted from my account and dm says that they are only intermediaries and cannot do anything. ”This is how she described the situation on Facebook.

Ikea responds to the post and explains the situation

The reason is quite simple. “It can take up to 48 hours for a voucher to be activated”. This is what the company tells the angry customer.

So consumers have to be careful. You should wait a few days after purchasing a voucher. Only then should they go shopping at the Swedish furniture giant.

But this fact is currently not the only annoyance at Ikea. Many customers have a completely different problem. Because for some time certain furniture can only be delivered to a few selected regions in Germany. This also causes frustration and anger. And for misunderstanding. Because this fact does not open up for the customers.

Ikea has another explanation

The furniture store also reacts to this dissatisfaction of its customers and explains this fact. “Continued disruptions, congested ports and historically high demand for raw materials are creating shortages that impact the production, delivery and availability of our items. At Ikea, we are doing our utmost to make our products available as quickly as possible and to offer you a great shopping experience.” The company writes this on Facebook.
