Ilaria Salis, things are going badly. The Tecnè survey on the European elections is a blow –

The maneuver that led to Ilaria Salis’s candidacy for the European elections risks backfiring on the Italian teacher detained in Hungary awaiting trial on charges of having participated in the beating of some neo-Nazi militants. The 39-year-old from Brianza, after being courted by Elly Schlein’s PD for a seat in Brussels that would have removed her from prison, ran with the Green-Left Alliance of Angelo Bonelli and Nicola Fratoianni. But the choice could prove very unproductive. In fact, the place on the list for the vote on 8 and 9 June does not guarantee her release from prison in Budapest, which would only be triggered after the request to the European Parliament by the Hungarian institutions in the event of an election. Hypothesis that she moves away, at least according to the Tecnè survey released on Monday 22 April by Quarta Repubblica, the program hosted by Nicola Porro on Rete4.

After Salis there is Raimo. The new Soumahoro embarked by Bonelli and Fratoianni

In fact, based on the survey aired yesterday, among the parties vying to exceed the 4 percent bar set for the European elections, the list of the United States of Europe would exceed the threshold thanks to 5 percent of the voting orientations, a result which today would allow the “container” that brings together +Europa, Italia Viva, the Italian Radicals, the Socialist Party, Lib-Dem and Italia C’è, to win four seats. Carlo Calenda’s Azioen is also below the bar, given 3.8 percent and therefore without seats in the European Parliament. The same result is estimated for the Avs list for which Salis is running as leader in the North-West. In short, no election – at least based on the survey presented in the studio by Carlo Buttaroni of Tecnè – for Salis and for the other red-green candidates such as Ignazio Marino, Mimmo Lucano and the new entry Christian Raimo.

The general against the champion of gays: the Vannacci-Zan super challenge in the north-east

Of course, one could object, there are only a couple of decimals left to reach the threshold, the electoral campaign is still long. However, explains Buttaroni, even if Bonelli and Fratoianni managed to win some seats it is not a given that the teacher from Brianza will be able to fly to Brussels. In fact, based on Tecnè’s estimates, the north-western Italian constituency is the “most difficult” for the rossoverdi.
