The Villa María First Shift Investigation Prosecutor’s Office, in charge of Silvia Maldonado, is investigating a fact in which two brothers-in-law assaulted each other due to a family problem. Both suffered injuries, although one of them was more visible as a result of a bite to the face.
The event occurred at the beginning of the month at a home in the Los Olmos neighborhood and the protagonists are relatives. These are two couples, in which the women are sisters and would have had an economic difference that is supposed to have generated the dispute between the men, according to what Maldonado told C20.
“The partner of one of the sisters is going to complain about a debt and there an argument begins, a struggle,” said the prosecutor. She added that this is where the partner of one of the sisters intervenes and between the men the discussion becomes stronger “where there are attacks until one of them bites him in the face.”
What the assaulted face explained to El Diario, is that his brother-in-law arrived “excited” and began to shake his wife, “so I intervened to defend her.”
The man maintains that the other subject went straight to the face. “He didn’t punch me or anything, but he bit me. He attached himself to my face with such force, without letting go, that he ended up on the ground with him on top of me. He tore off a piece of my cheek with his teeth, ”he recounted.
Due to the fact there are complaints and also counter-complaints. “From the other side, they allege the alleged existence of a firearm at the time of the events and that shots were even fired,” the prosecutor explained.
As an urgent measure, the restraining order was ordered and the investigation began, which is still ongoing and has no detainees because, Maldonado said, “it is necessary to clarify specifically in what context these attacks occurred.”
“Both men ended up injured, although what became more visible was what one of them received on his face, but the other person also presented injuries to his body,” said the prosecutor.
In this sense, he stressed that they are committed to determining how the events occurred.
