On January 11 it was known that the inflation rate was 25.5%double what it had marked a month before (12.8%) and the highest monthly in 32 years.
This Monday, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) announced the cost of the basic food basket (CBA) rose 30.1% in December, so a family group made up of two adults and two minors needed to receive income for $240,678 to avoid falling into destitution.
For its part, the cost of the total basic basket (CBT), which in addition to food measures the price of clothing, transportation and services, marked an increase of 27% in December, so the same family group needed to have income $495,798 to avoid falling below the poverty line.
