In Geneva, Blinken and Lavrov give diplomacy another chance

Illustrating the slightly more relaxed climate of the meeting on Friday between the heads of Russian and American diplomacy at the President Wilson hotel in Geneva, Minister Sergei Lavrov did not fail to be ironic regarding the crowd of documents that the Department of American State had previously submitted to him and which aimed to counter Moscow’s misinformation regarding Ukraine: “I hope that everyone in the State Department is not working on the basis of this material and that some are relying more on the essence of our proposals.”
