For a seventh term, Speaker Nabih Berri was re-elected to the presidency of Parliament after receiving 65 votes, against 40 null papers and 23 blank papers.
This is the lowest percentage for him in the history of the sessions in which he was elected president since 1992.
The highest percentage of him was in 2000, when he won 124 votes, according to “International Information”.
In the 1992 session, Berri won 105 votes, and in 1996, he won 122 votes.
In the 2005 and 2009 sessions, Berry received 90 votes, and in the 2018 session, he received 98 votes.
