We are going through the most romantic month of the year. Yesterday was Valentine’s Day. A day that reminds us that despite all our activities, we should not forget the person we have next to us. Every year on February 14, young and old, men and women, celebrate Valentine’s Day, the day of lovers, as it is commonly called. After all, “love doesn’t look at years” and as the shopkeepers say, many of their customers are elderly, who don’t forget their partner, showing their interest with a symbolic act of love.
In the spirit of the day, the shop windows of Patras were decorated yesterday in an attempt by shopkeepers to attract consumers. Among them there were also special suggestions for gifts from all the stores. However, traffic in the market remained subdued despite the original decorated shop windows of the center of the Achaean capital.
Florists, pastry shops, as well as gift shops had their… honor, from morning until late afternoon, and were decorated accordingly, with the color red and hearts of all sizes prevailing everywhere. And the patisseries, however, were properly prepared, offering a variety of sweets for every valentine, with most of them prepared especially for Valentine’s Day!
