in the face of sharp increases at the pump, find out where the cheapest stations are near you

The end of state rebates on fuel prices has a direct impact. More 19 cents per liter for Unleaded 95, 13 cents increase for diesel, motorists must once again look for the most economical stations to reduce their costs.

Filling up with gas has been more expensive since January 1, 2023 with the end of state rebates on fuel.

The discount of 30 cents per liter had been extended until mid-November, before being reduced to 10 cents until the end of the year. On January 1, this general aid was replaced by an indemnity of 100 euros reserved for the 10 million households with a reference tax income of less than 14,700 euros in 2021. This aid is paid in one installment for the year, to those who use their vehicle to go to work.

In recent months, the increase in fuel prices at the pump has been particularly marked by the rise in diesel, which has become more expensive than gasoline.

The average price displayed in the resort at the beginning of the week was €1.86/L for the Sans-Plomb 95 and €1.940/L for the Sans Plong 98.

Motorists eligible for state aid, which applies to all types of vehicles, including two-wheelers, must send their request to the government website between January 16 and February 28, 2023.

The payment of this compensation represents an envelope of around 1 billion euros, said Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne. In 2022, the general rebate cost the State 8 billion euros, the equivalent of the budget of the Ministry of Justice.
