Forspoken is coming to the PS5 very soon. While waiting for its official launch by Square Enix, the action-RPG game is revealed in its ultimate trailer. The trailer, visible at the end of the article, adopts the cinematic format and dazzles with its graphics and its rather successful visual. Maybe he will be able to hit the mark with gamers through this new video? Nothing is less certain just a few days before the release date.
A cinematic that will amaze you
This is not the first time that Forspoken has revealed itself to the public. Gamers had already been able to discover the video game developed by Luminous Productions on several occasions in recent months. The gameplay trailer below tells you a lot about the in-game content. The ultimate trailer, freshly published by the studio, is different. This time, players are treated to a much shorter cutscene. In all, this new Forspoken trailer lasts a good minute.
But the video is far from pointless. On the contrary, it shows a lot about the artistic qualities of the RPG. The focus is on the graphics and the heavy visual work done by the Luminous Productions teams. We find there of course Frey Holland pursued by a slew of creatures just as strange as each other. The mist infestation has had its effect. The video also reveals a mysterious being in armor that floats in the air to stop the heroine.
On the run for the first few seconds of the Forspoken cutscene, Frey Holland eventually unsheathes her magic weapons from her bracelet. She is ready to stand up to her and triumph over these creatures that colonize her world. Elie de The Last of Us just have to behave yourself. The photorealism and impressive animation that make up the graphics of the video game catch the eye. But will that be enough to convince players?
A mixed reception
Indeed, Forspoken is far from arousing enthusiasm among gamers unlike big successful titles like Elder Ring. This is, at least, what we can draw from the mixed opinions issued by the lucky ones, press and players, who were able to discover the title during the test launches. According to these opinions, Forspoken is not really worthy of its rank as the very first next-gen blockbuster in the Square Enix catalog.
What’s more, it is one of the exclusives of Sony’s new video game console, the PS5. It seems hard to believe that Forspoken manages to steal the status of best playstation game to great God of War Ragnarok. Despite everything, the opinions resulting from the test do not necessarily reflect those of the public at the official launch of the video game. Luminous Productions will still have a little time to rectify the situation.

As a reminder, the release date of Forspoken is set for January 24th. So you could be playing the game in exactly 14 days, provided you own a PS5. Of course, a PC version is also planned.
