The Khartoum Sudanese House of Oud Orchestra, which was held under the leadership of musician Ahmed Shamma, at the Egyptian Opera House, yesterday evening, witnessed a large audience.

During the ceremony, the audience paid a special greeting to the musician and founder of Bait Al Oud Naseer Shamma, who in turn thanked them for their keenness to be present.

A number of Arab and African diplomats were keen to attend, as well as a number of media personalities, including Albert Shafik, head of ON channels, and Mohamed Khader, head of the Cbc network.
Among the media, Amr Abdel Hamid, Nancy Nour, Nada Reda, Asmaa Youssef, Rajaei Ramzy, Mohamed Abdo Badawy, Mohamed El Shazly, Iman Ezz El Din, Heba Al Ghamrawi, and Hajar Jamil.

During the ceremony, the orchestra presented 12 musical pieces: I love Makan, Azza in Hawk, The Road to Shaqlawa, Asmar Jamil, Nuba, Hala Baladi, One Thousand and One Nights, Al Jur River, Hankaria Dance, Eternal Days, The Confluence of the Two Niles, Heritage.

The Sudanese Bait Al Oud Orchestra is scheduled to perform another concert on Sunday in Alexandria at Sayed Darwish Theater in the Opera.

The Oud House is a cultural and artistic project, founded by the international musician Naseer Shamma, who is establishing Oud houses in various countries, working to teach the scientific foundations in studying the Oud and some other stringed instruments, and creating a cultural climate for the development of local music and the exchange of musical and artistic experiences, especially the young groups. .

The first Oud House was opened in Cairo in 1997. It was followed by the Oud House in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in 2008. In 2010 the third Oud House was opened in Alexandria.

In 2018, Naseer Shamma opened the fourth Oud House in his country’s capital, Baghdad.

Then the last Oud House to be opened was the Oud House – Khartoum, which was established in 2020 with the full support of the Dal Cultural Forum.
