Al-Marsad newspaper: Lawyer Shaima Al-Thaqafi said that the penalty for marrying a foreigner is a fine of up to 100,000 riyals if the marriage contract is not documented.
And she added, during an intervention with the “mbc” channel: The Saudi regulator has set penalties in this regard, and if the wife is a foreigner, she may be prevented from entering the Kingdom, and the penalties may affect children as well.
And she continued: There are many fraud and extortion operations in this matter, and the perpetrator will be referred directly to the competent authorities.
She continued: Marriage is supposed to be documented and not random, as social media is currently doing and promoting.
