In the video .. “Technician” reveals how your bank data is leaked through online purchases

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Technical expert Abdulaziz Al-Hammadi revealed two types of websites, the first is secure websites in which bank card data is not saved except after the user’s consent, and the second is unsecured websites or fake websites.

Al-Hammadi said during his meeting with the Ya Hala program, which is broadcast on the Gulf Rotana channel, that if the user has a bank card linked to his main bank account, he should be careful; Because if he entered a fake website and entered the card’s data, he gave access to his bank account to a party he did not know, so this party took the bank card data, so they can buy whatever they want with it.

He pointed out that with regard to famous sites in the Kingdom, the user can access and purchase securely, while unknown sites are not.

He added that the sites in the Kingdom are safe, but the data does not remain unless the user allows it; Because there are very high-level requirements for storing data on Saudi sites, and these requirements are imposed by the Central Bank, Saudi payments, and others, so the data is not saved unless the user allows it; Because it is connected directly to the payment gateway at the bank in the store directly.

He continued: If the user agrees to save the card inside the site, it is subject to hacking if the site is hacked. It is better not to save the card inside the site, and if the purchase is made from a site outside Saudi Arabia, the worst possibility is that the data may remain on the site, which is also vulnerable to hacking.
