Incheon City, Gaehang-ro Beer and Sinpo Market Support Chicken Gangjeong
Chinese tourists are cut off in the aftermath of the Korean Hall Order and Corona
3,000 foreigners gathered at Incheon Inner Port Pier and had a beer party with Incheon’s famous sweet and sour chicken.
It is an event planned by Incheon City to save the local economy by attracting foreign tourists as the corona pandemic is over.
Not many Chinese tourists, the big hand of our tourism economy, came.

Thousands of people gathered at Incheon Inner Port Pier Square, which is usually difficult to access to the general public.
The party was held with Gaehang-ro beer representing Incheon and Ilmi, sweet and sour chicken from Sinpo Market, which was selected as one of the top 10 traditional markets in the country.
It was named ‘1883 Incheon Mackgang Party’ to commemorate the opening of Incheon in 1883.
3,000 people gathered from 10 countries including Vietnam, Thailand and Taiwan.
Incheon city provided beer and chicken gangjeong to tourists.

Not many Chinese tourists, so-called Youkes, who are the big players in Korea’s tourism, came to this Incheon McGang Party.
In 2016, 6,000 Yukers gathered together in Wolmido and became a big topic, but they were cut off due to the Chinese government’s Han-Korean rule and the corona pandemic.
The Incheon Inner Port pier has been closed to the public for security reasons, but this time it is fully open to foreign tourists.
Next year, the project to remodel the grain warehouse in the inner port into a complex cultural space is scheduled to be completed, so it is expected to become a tourist attraction in Incheon.
