Incomplete Delivery at 65,000 Tesla Vehicles – Economy

After public allegations, Tesla now has to give a statement – the car giant is said to have delivered vehicles without components paid for by customers.

The German news magazine “Der Spiegel” raises serious allegations: Tesla is delivering vehicles in Europe without components that customers have paid for. The buyers were also not informed that the equipment was incomplete.

Specifically, Tesla simply left out a control unit that is supposed to make autonomous driving possible in 65,000 cars at its plant in Shanghai, according to “Der Spiegel”. Affected are “Model 3” and “Model Y”, which were brought to Europe between the end of December 2021 and mid-February 2022. The German Federal Motor Transport Authority has now asked Tesla to comment.
